Parenting is hard work! You might feel overwhelmed and not sure what to do to make things better. You get frustrated when your child acts out in anger. You feel disconnected when your teen responds to you with eye rolls and attitude. You are worried about the poor choices they are making and wonder if your child might be depressed. They are isolating themselves from others and just don’t seem to enjoy the things they used to. You might be noticing an increase in social anxiety and stress. There are so many different factors that can contribute to big emotions and acting out. It can be difficult for young children and adolescents to navigate their world, which can cause stress at home, school, and with their peers. Counseling can provide the support and guidance needed to work through those tough times.
I am passionate about helping kids, teens, and young adults learn how to build healthy relationships and cope with life’s challenges. I provide a safe and welcoming space, helping individuals and families look to the future with hope. As a licensed school counselor, I can be a resource to help with academic and behavioral issues occurring at school. I also help children work through the difficulties associated with foster care and adoption.
My counseling approach is holistic; addressing the mind, body and spirit. I use a variety of counseling techniques, including care from a Christian worldview. In order to accommodate busy schedules, I offer afternoon, evening, and Saturday appointments. You are welcome to reach out to me directly using the contact information below.
