I have a heart for adults who are struggling with life's unexpected challenges that have resulted in relationship issues and/or feelings of depression, anxiety, worry, stress, and other uncomfortable emotions. As a licensed and certified speech/language pathologist, I have 16 years of experience working with kids and adolescents, as well as an understanding of today's public school procedures.
I believe that effective treatment involves getting to know the whole person, including thoughts, feelings, perspectives, and beliefs. As your counselor, I will strive to understand what matters to you and address the challenges you are facing with gentleness, kindness, and a sense of hope. My goal is to support you in exploring and understanding your issues in a way that helps you develop the skills you need to effectively build or repair relationships, find workable solutions to problems, make healthy and informed decisions, move towards achievable goals, and approach daily life in a more positive manner. In addition to using a variety of counseling techniques, if faith is important to you, I am happy to provide care from a Christian perspective. I offer later afternoon and evening appointments, both in-person and virtually.
